MAID INSURANCE
Insurance scheme for maids is a form of insurance to
provide a form of protection to the maids when they
are in Malaysia as well as to protect the interests of
employers.

There are various forms of insurance coverage
offered by several insurance companies, banks and
Pos Malaysia. You should read carefully the insurance
proposal before making any decision. Total coverage
and premiums vary from one insurance company to
another.

In general, the insurance will provides protection to
domestic helpers in the event of a disaster such as
accidental death, permanent disablement due to
accident and medical expenses.

For the purpose of renewal of passport, starting from
1st January 2011, the  Indonesian embassies require
employers to provide insurance coverage to the maid
before new passport is issued.
